In the same week, one girl group member’s form of speech irked fans while one ballad singer was busted for drinking and driving.

1. Queen BoA Announces Comeback

BoA’s long-rumored comeback was confirmed with the announcement that the title track Only One was entirely self-penned and self composed by BoA herself. Add to that the fact she will hold her own comeback special on SBS, release a music video with Yoo Ah In and has enlisted NappyTabs for the song’s choreography, and it looks like BoA’s comeback will be a tour de force.

2. Psy Conquers the Charts

Psy was seemingly everywhere this week from making a perfect all-kill on the charts to surprise television show appearances.

3. Kim Junsu Announces World Tour and Repackaged Album

Kim Junsu topped himself this week and excited fans all over the world with the announcement of a world tour to the Americas and Europe, a repackaged album, and a new English-language single.

Holding nothing back for his new album and single, Kim Junsu jet off to LA for preparations and enlisted the help of quite a few big names in the music industry.

’Infinity Challenge’ Returns to the Airwaves

After some 170 days and 24 weeks, the beloved and long-running Infinity Challenge announced its return to TV following the conclusion of the MBC labor union strike.

With so much time lost by the strike, some are calling for an official apology to viewers. Still, we’re sure fans are eager to welcome the show back.

1. SISTAR’s Hyolyn Accused of Being Impolite to T-ara’s So Yeon

Netizens were nearly up in arms following accusations that SISTAR’s Hyolyn had acted impolitely to T-ara’s So Yeon, saying she spoke in an informal tone to So Yeon who is three years older than her and her senior as a singer.

The controversy subsided, however, after T-ara stepped forth to explain the incident and share the two groups were close friends in real life and were speaking as they normally do.

2. Alex Charged With a DUI

As one of the most sought-after OST singers and recently becoming the owner of his own pasta restaurant, things seemed to be going swimmingly for singer/actor Alex until this week when he became booked without detention for driving under the influence and having his license revoked.

The incident once again raised the issue of DUIs and celebrities, while bringing disappointment to Alex’s fans.

3. Suzy and Kim Soo Hyun’s Visa Applications Leaked Online

Two of Korea’s current hottest CF stars jet off to New Zealand this week to shoot for a new advertisement together.

What should have been smooth sailing for the two stars unfortunately was met with a rocky start when both stars’ visa applications were posted online.

Though the leak thankfully didn’t contain any sensitive information, the security breach shocked fellow celebrities and netizens alike.

4. B1A4 Becomes Latest K-Pop Group Copied in China

Perhaps as a sign of its growing success, rookie group B1A4 and the group’s fans found a copycat version of B1A4 in China with the Chinese group ‘决胜团’.

The collection of images put together by fans revealed similarities in style, album jacket covers, homepage images and television appearances, making B1A4 the latest K-Pop group to be copied among Big Bang, SNSD, Hyuna and more.
