CNBLUE Wows Singaporean Fans
K-pop band CNBLUE successfully finished its concert in Singapore.
On February 13, CNBLUE held a concert as a part of it live tour ‘COME TOGETHER’ at Singapore Indoor Stadium. It performed 21 songs including Cinderella, Hide and Seek and Domino for the two -and-half-hour show. Its songs heat up the city on the day before Valentine’s Day.
CNBLUE spoke English and Hokkien, the local variation of Chinese, to lead the events for the sake of its fans. The audience also responded to the band’s performance enthusiastically. When the song Cinderella from its second official album was on stage, the crowd wore crowns to match its theme. Additionally, they lit up the concert hall with LED balloons while the band played the encore song.
Major local presses gave favorable comments to the show. The Straits Times titled its review article “Charisma, fun action and a bit of Hokkien from Korean pop-rock quartet CNBLUE”. It described the show as “a no-frills show relying on raw talent” and that it was entertaining.
It particularly spoke highly of Jung Yong Hwa. “The stage is his playground. The busy vocalist switches from strumming the guitar, plonking on the keyboard to tinkering with his new toy - a synthesizer”. It also added “Jung’s confidence as a seasoned performer shows in the way he improvises.”
After its concert, the vocalist’s name “yonghwa” was on the ‘Trends’ list on Twitter for Singaporean users.
Meanwhile, the band will continue its Asia tour ‘COME TOGETHER’ in Taipei on February 19 and 20, Nanjing on March 12, Chongqing on March 19 and Hangzhou on March 26.
