Music Makes One, Asia’s Top Music Awards Ceremony!
It began in 1999 as Korea’s first music video award show <Mnet Video Music Award>, then <Mnet Music Video Festival> in 2000, <Mnet KM Music Video Festival> in 2004 and <Mnet KM Music Festival> in 2006, before becoming the <Mnet Asian Music Awards> in 2009, steadily progressing with the development of K-Pop.
It took the first steps to become Asia’s representative music festival in 2009, and established itself as the best Asian music festival, held in Macau in 2010, Singapore in 2011 and Hong Kong from 2012 to 2014.
MAMA, the largest music ceremony in Asia, airs simultaneously in 4 continents, including Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania, enhancing the status of K-pop and spreading the excellence of Asian music all around the world. It is a ceremony that awards songs and artists most loved by global fans in the year. Furthermore, it features captivating collaboration performances by artists in Korea and Asia at large as well as artists abroad.
